For residential projects, villas, hotels, offices, shopping centers, hospitals, schools, public buildings, commercial facilities, showrooms, industrial buildings, and special architectural projects, we deliver aluminum composite panel cladding, aluminum sheet cladding, decorative façade applications, canopy cladding, column cladding, entrance façades, parapet cladding, sill details, reveal details, coping elements, and bespoke façade components. Composite façade cladding systems are among the most important exterior solutions in modern architecture, providing buildings with a strong, clean, and prestigious appearance. Thanks to their lightweight structure, wide range of colors and surface finishes, smooth panel appearance, fast installation capability, and adaptability to architectural details, composite panels are frequently preferred both in new construction projects and renovation works. When correctly designed and properly installed, composite cladding systems do not only add aesthetic value to a building; they also create a durable and long-lasting exterior envelope that protects the façade against environmental effects. The quality of a composite façade cladding system is not limited to the panel itself. Panel thickness, aluminum skin quality, core type, coating quality, supporting substructure, anchoring details, joint layout, panel dimensions, corner returns, water drainage details, thermal movement, installation tolerances, and façade integrity must all be evaluated together. For this reason, in every project, the architectural expectation, building height, wind exposure, façade orientation, intended use, fire safety requirements, color selection, and maintenance expectations are considered in order to develop the most suitable system solution. The project process begins with site survey and technical analysis. During this stage, existing building surfaces, reinforced concrete or steel supporting areas, façade axes, level differences, window and joinery connections, parapet details, canopy dimensions, column and beam areas, mechanical louver zones, signage or lighting integrations, water discharge points, and installation access are examined. Based on the measurements taken on site, panel dimensions, joint spacing, supporting substructure system, fixing elements, and application details are determined. One of the most important stages in composite panel cladding applications is the supporting substructure solution. In order for the panels to perform properly and remain durable over time, an aluminum or galvanized supporting system suitable for the façade surface must be installed. Vertical and horizontal carrier profiles, L brackets, anchoring plates, consoles, and fixing screws are selected according to the condition of the building surface and wind loads. A correctly installed substructure ensures that the cladding surface is completed level, aligned, and with consistent joint spacing. Panel processing quality directly determines the visual quality of the façade. Panels are cut, grooved, folded, cassette-formed, and prepared for installation according to the project dimensions. Corner returns, window edges, soffit areas, column claddings, parapet finishes, and entrance façades require high precision in panel workmanship. Incorrect cutting, improper folding, irregular joints, or dimensional tolerance errors may cause visual defects on the façade. Therefore, fabrication and installation processes must be carried out under controlled conditions. Joint layout is one of the most important details defining the architectural character of composite façade cladding. Horizontal and vertical joints, panel dimensions, façade axes, and joinery alignments must be planned together. Random joint placement creates an irregular appearance, while a properly designed joint layout gives the building a modern, clean, and corporate architectural expression. On large surfaces, suitable joint gaps must be provided by considering panel dimensions, thermal expansion, and installation tolerances. Color and surface selection directly affect the architectural identity of the building. RAL 7016 anthracite grey, RAL 9005 black, RAL 9016 white, RAL 7039 grey tones, metallic grey, bronze, champagne, wood-effect, stone-effect, matte, glossy, brushed, and custom architectural color options are frequently preferred in projects. Color selection should be evaluated together with the joinery color, glass color, façade concept, flooring materials, surrounding environment, corporate identity, and maintenance expectations. Surface coating quality is highly important for the exterior durability of composite panels. Sunlight, rain, snow, humidity, temperature differences, air pollution, and salt exposure in coastal regions may affect the performance of the façade cladding. Therefore, coating quality, surface finish type, color stability, and panel brand must be selected correctly for exterior applications. For long-lasting projects, high-performance coated panels suitable for outdoor conditions should be preferred. Fire safety is an important evaluation criterion in composite façade cladding systems. The appropriate panel type should be selected according to the function of the project, building height, regulatory requirements, and building classification. Standard core, fire-retardant, or mineral-filled panel alternatives may be evaluated depending on the project. Especially in public buildings, hotels, hospitals, high-rise buildings, and projects with high user density, panel selection should be considered not only in terms of aesthetics but also in terms of safety performance. Water drainage and detailing are fundamental factors affecting the long-term performance of composite façade cladding. Window edges, parapet finishes, canopy soffits, corner returns, horizontal joints, and lower façade endings must be detailed correctly to prevent rainwater from entering the building. Proper slopes, drip-edge details, sealant applications, concealed drainage cavities, and connection details ensure the healthy performance of the façade system. Thermal movement and expansion allowances must be considered in aluminum-based façade cladding systems. Aluminum materials may expand and contract due to temperature differences. Therefore, panel dimensions, screw holes, fixing points, and joint gaps must be designed to allow this movement. In applications where expansion allowances are not provided, panel waviness, bulging, noise, or stress on fixing points may occur over time. Wind load resistance is especially important in high-rise buildings, exposed façades, corner zones, and coastal areas. The supporting substructure, fixing frequency, panel dimensions, and anchoring details of the composite cladding system must be evaluated according to wind loads acting on the façade. In large-format panels, support points should be increased and suitable installation details should be used to prevent panel deformation. Composite cladding systems can be integrated with glass façades, aluminum joinery, shutters, sun-shading systems, stone cladding, ceramic cladding, metal cladding, and reinforced concrete surfaces. In these transitions, water, thermal movement, structural movement, and aesthetic details must be resolved together. Special attention is required around window perimeters, column-beam junctions, canopy soffits, entrance portals, and corner returns where different materials meet. Canopy and entrance claddings are special details that strengthen the architectural perception of the building. At main entrance areas, composite panels can create a clean, wide-surfaced, and strong welcoming effect. Concealed lighting, linear lighting, signage integration, security camera details, and mechanical components can be integrated within the panel cladding in a controlled manner. In these areas, panel joints, corner returns, and soffit details should be applied in a way that supports architectural integrity. Parapet, coping, and roof edge details are critical areas in composite façade cladding systems. In these zones, closing details, slope direction, drip-edge allowance, and sealant continuity must be correctly applied to prevent water from entering behind the façade. Incorrect detailing around roof and parapet areas may cause water infiltration, coating stains, panel deformation, or moisture problems behind the façade over time. Installation quality is as important as product quality in composite façade cladding systems. Before application, the façade surface must be checked, axes and levels must be determined, the substructure must be installed level and aligned, panel placement must be carried out according to the project, and all connections must be completed under control. After installation, joint spacing, panel surface flatness, fixing strength, corner returns, sealant applications, and cleaning details must be checked. In terms of maintenance and cleaning, composite façade claddings are low-maintenance systems when the right material and correct application are used. Façade surfaces should be cleaned periodically with suitable cleaning products, and abrasive chemicals or applications that may scratch the surface should be avoided. In demanding exterior conditions, periodic inspection of joints, sealants, fixings, and surface conditions supports the long-term performance of the system. At Kalyon Aluminum, we do not only install standard panels in composite façade cladding applications; we also develop bespoke detailing solutions suitable for the architectural identity of each project.
